1. How do you handle roommates?
Roommates will be handled this year the same as they were last year. You can make note on your application before hand of a roommate preference. When you come to camp, you will be able to choose your roommate and room. If you do not have a specific roommate in mind, we will provide you with one of similar age.
2. What happens after I send in my application?
After your application is processed, you will receive correspondence from Snow Valley to the email address you gave in your application. This will be an acceptance letter with all pertinent details, or if camp is full, a notification of such and the opportunity to be on the waiting list if the waiting list is not full.
3. Are the rooms/gyms air conditioned?
Every dormitory room and gymnasium used during the Snow Valley Basketball School is air-conditioned, as well as the cafeteria.
4. Where do I send my application?
The address for Snow Valley correspondence is:
Snow Valley Missouri
1263 Charmwood Drive
Kirkwood, MO 63122
5. How much money should I bring?
The only reasons for additional money while at camp are as follows: Campers can purchase camp shorts and various camp shirts at check-in, during one night at camp and at check-out. There is also pizza sold in the evening and Gatorade is sold throughout the week. These are the only possibilities for extra money while at camp. We also suggest that you do not bring anything of high value to camp.
6. Where is Snow Valley located and how do I get there?
Principia School 13201 Clayton Rd, Town and Country, MO 63131
7. When can I check-in?
Check-in times are listed in your acceptance letter.
8. Do I need a physical?
You do not need a physical to attend camp. The only thing you need to send in is the registration form signed at the bottom with your parents insurance plan. Each athlete must be covered by his or her parents insurance program before participating in camp. A supplementary policy only is in effect. Medical aid is provided by on-site trainers and a doctor is also on call.
9. What do I need to bring?
You should bring sheets and a blanket (or sleeping bag), pillow, pillow case, fan, towel, washcloth and other toiletries. We also suggest that you bring comfortable, broken in shoes and two pairs of socks and two shirts for each day of camp.
10. What if I need to cancel because of a conflict with camp?
Refunds of one half of the tuition will be made for non-medical reasons before June 1. All non-medical cancellations after June 1 will forfeit the amount of tuition. A complete tuition refund will be made for medical reasons, less a $50 administrative fee, and requests must be accompanied by a physician's letter of explanation. Any participant who leaves school during the first three days due to injury will receive pro-rated credit.
